The Decant Perfumery began with a question: what if perfume could be experienced the way we experience wine?
I’m Parth Mehta, a wine sommelier with 17 years of experience in hospitality. Wine has shaped how I experience the world: through aroma, memory, place and emotion. In 2025, I had the honour of placing second in India’s Best Sommelier competition. I brought that same curiosity for nuance, balance and a lingering finish into the world of fragrance.
In a glass of wine, a place can reveal itself through its aromas. In a perfume, a few notes can hold an entire memory. The Decant Perfumery lives at the intersection of those two experiences.
A fragrance cellar, not a perfume counter.
Our perfumes borrow their names and stories from wine: grape varieties, wine regions, styles and the language of the cellar. Chablis, Amarone, Merlot and other familiar names are invitations to explore a fragrance’s character, not promises that it will smell like wine. Each perfume is meant to be discovered on its own terms.
Our Assemblage Selection is composed at 30% fragrance oil, celebrating the craft of blending. Our Grand Cru Selection is composed at 40% fragrance oil, reflecting our richest expressions. Every fragrance is unisex: the wearer, not a label, decides what feels right.
Art from one generation to the next.
My grandmother, Kumud Jasani, was born in 1939 and studied at Mumbai’s Sir J.J. School of Art. She has spent a lifetime creating across artistic mediums. Her original paintings are featured on our perfume tins, bringing her creative legacy into something I make with my own hands.
Each tin carries more than a bottle. It carries a little of her story, too.
Packaging with another chapter.
I believe luxury can be beautiful without being careless. We use biodegradable packing peanuts and include cocopeat and plantable seed paper in our tins. The idea is simple: once the perfume is unboxed, give the tin a second life. Use it to grow something, store something or make it yours.
And because a favourite fragrance should travel with you, our 50 mL perfumes come with a refillable 5 mL travel atomiser. Keep your larger bottle at home and carry just what you need. Refill it instead of reaching for another throwaway travel bottle.

The Decant Perfumery brings together my years behind the wine glass, the art of fragrance, my grandmother’s paintings and a belief that the details matter. We want each perfume to be something you wear, remember and return to.
